STRUCTURAL REFLEXOLOGY

Structural Reflexology ® addresses tension on the feet as a product of local muscle and ligament strain while maintaining an understanding of how these sites.

.Tension in the feet will impact the rest of the body.

. The aim of structural reflexology is to assess the feet to discover the cause over the disorder.

. To identify tension sites in the foot and leg that create inappropriate dysfunction and compensation in the upper parts of the body.

.Improve foot alignment and function.

.To decrease inflammation throughout the foot and body.

.Bring the foot back to a stage that is comfortable.

.the feet are capable of 150 different movements if they are well aligned and free to move.

.When muscle bound balance relationships is challenged the body will compensate by changing posture to keep the body balanced.

.Dr Hiss states that the individual involuntary adopts a bad posture in the effort to minimise pain and this falls away from the graduation line. (1933).

.The treatment involves measuring the feet to make sure the client are wearing the right size shoe. As shoe sizes differ if the arch of the foot is different.

. A foot press is taken to see where the pressure is on the foot as they walk and to assess if equal weight is being balanced in both feet.

.Massage to the muscles and ligaments of the feet and lower leg and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitator stretching is applied to help bring the foot back into alignment.
